GIS Technician

Job Description:

Entry Level. Under the direction of the GIS Project Manager, the GIS technician performs technical duties in support of a variety of GIS projects. Technical duties may include Field Data Collection, infrastructure mapping, database management, imagery geo-rectification, and assist in the preparation and production of maps, charts, 3D renderings and other GIS products.


Job Requirements:

- Associates Degree in GIS is required. Bachelor of Arts or Science in Geography, Cartography or similar discipline is preferred.
- Experience with the full suite of ESRI production software with specific concentration in ArcGIS 8 or higher is required.
- Possess solid written and oral communication skills, and a sound work ethic aimed at problem solving.
- Knowledge and expertise with cartographic principles, GIS standards and metadata, geodetic datums, projections, and coordinate systems is required.
- Three references for performance/work ethics.

Unmanned Underwater Vehicle Operator

Job Description:

Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) operator. Leads two-man or three-man teams in underwater survey work in national and international ports and other shallow water areas. Operates multiple UUVs simultaneously from shore or small boat. Conducts mission planning and post-mission analysis of sonar imagery using SonarWizMap, Sea Scan PC and/or SeeTrack Military processing software to generate mosaics, identify bottom objects and features for entry into GIS database programs. Frequent traveler.


Job Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years experience operating Hydroid REMUS or Bluefin Sea Lion small UUVs, including mission planning, post-mission analysis, simultaneous UUV operations, and fly-away UUV operations.
- Certified to conduct UUV basic maintenance.
- Familiar with government contracting vehicles and processes.
- Experienced in mapping GPS systems.
- Three references for performance/work ethics.
- Passport holder.
- International travel experience and foreign language skills preferred but not required.

Side-Scan Sonar Operator

Job Description:

Towed side-scan sonar operator. Installs portable side-scan sonar systems aboard tow vessels of opportunity and operates sonar with an assistant to conduct bottom surveys in harbor and other shallow water environments. Conducts mission planning and post-mission analysis of sonar imagery using SonarWizMap, SonarPro, SeaScan PC, Discover and/or SeeTrack Military processing software to generate mosaics, identify bottom objects and features for entry into GIS database programs. Frequent traveler.

Job Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years experience operating Marine Sonic Technology, Klein or Edge Tech side-scan sonar systems.v - Minimum of 3 years experience in small boat operations.
- Experienced in mapping GPS systems.
- Three references for performance/work ethics.
- Passport holder.
- International travel experience and foreign language skills preferred but not required.

Financial and Administrative Specialist

Job Description:

Performs administrative and/or financial tasks of a highly specialized nature to develop, administer, and support project activities. Maintains company accounts associated with contracts, company 401K plan, office and facility expenses, travel, equipment and maintenance, and consumables. Manages Company Insurance policies. Arranges and tracks all company travel including reservations, maintaining company travel policy; requires familiarity with Federal Travel Regulations.

Job Requirements:

- Associates Degree in Accounting.
- At least three years of corporate administrative experience.
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office software, Quickbooks accounting software, and project management software suites.
- Highly developed communication skills with a solid command of the English language.
- Three references for performance/work ethics.
- Spanish language skills a plus but not required.
